Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her most well-known role is her part on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney is the sole child of a United Auto Workers senior executive and domestic worker was raised with her four siblings. In her early years she was aspired to become a reporter for the court. But after she graduated from high school, and moving into New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. Delaney was portrayed as an innocent child in the 1981 soap-opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has been in a variety of film and television dramas. As with her professional career, her personal life hasn't been happy or successful. The gifted actress was struggling to overcome addiction to alcohol, and was married twice only to fail. In 2005, she lost custody of her sole son.
